1.1 History

In 2018, ACGN Protocol's founding team members curated art and blockchain exhibition, and in 2019 another larger-scale exhibition. The ACGN Protocol team was one of the first pioneers to explore how blockchain can empower the creators' economy. By 2021, as blockchain technology advances and the market matures, and NFT becomes known to the public, the ACGN Protocol team believes the time has come to build a creators' ecosystem based on blockchain technology.

1.2 Problem

The current centralized creator paradigm is very unfriendly to creators, as the web2 centralized platform exclusively owns and strictly controls the intellectual property rights of works, making it difficult for original works to be reused by other authors and making it difficult for second creations to realize their commercial value under the traditional IP system. Expand the value of their works.

Content creators face time and resource constraints, particularly when they need to generate a large volume of content. Content creation can be a time-consuming process, hindering productivity and potentially delaying content delivery.

1.3 Solution

Web3 fully embodies the spirit of open source, allowing for the on-chain validation of works and the redistribution of benefits to creators. By building communities, sharing resources, and creating value together, a decentralized creator ecosystem can eventually be formed. ACGN Protocol aims to solve this problem by becoming a decentralized on-chain creator protocol.

1.3.1 An open-source creator protocol

ACGN Protocol is a content creator protocol based on open-source consensus. This protocol enables creators to create derivative creations based on original works for commercial purposes,and derivative creations need to follow the same protocol. When derivative creations realize gains, owners of NFTs used in derivative creations can gain relevant profit through an on-chain royalty system.

1.3.2 AI-powered tools

AIGC offers a solution to this pain point by automating certain aspects of content generation. By leveraging artificial intelligence technologies, AIGC can assist content creators in producing more content in less time. Automated processes, such as generating initial drafts, suggesting edits, or even creating complete pieces of content, can significantly reduce the time and effort required from content creators. This automation allows content creators to focus their energy and resources on other critical tasks, such as strategy development, content planning, or refining the creative aspects of their work.

1.3.3 A bottom-up paradigm

An image or a text can be used as a cultural lego, a minimal element in the ACGN Protocol creator database. The cultural lego can be content the platform or other creators provide. Creators can work together based on these elements. As the database built on NFT as Culture Lego expands, anime, manga, novels, and even games will spring up on top of it.This ecosystem will also shape the way users and creators communicate with each other. Instead of passively accepting content from creators, users will be able to give feedback to creators using our secondary creation and social features. This direct and close connection will give users a 'producer-like' feeling. Creators are also motivated to maintain a fan base: as user comments grow, so does the score of their work, and eventually, the interaction and feedback will push it to the top of the charts.This paradigm allows community members to take ownership of the creative process, building their IP and brand through the power of the community and realizing the fundamental value of creativity.

1.3.4 Accelerator for IP creating and value enhancement

The community and creators can create better quality content and decentralized IP more efficiently through Web3's production relationships, and on-chain creativity ownership can motivate creators to participate in community creation.As creators, their creations can be valued in the Web3 world through ACGN Protocol, but also through the ACGN Protocol DAO, which channels Web3 content back to Web2.0 and combines it with the traditional commercial world, such as Web2.0 content distribution, toys, clothing, etc., thus realizing its retail value in the conventional world and ultimately feeding back into the Web3 world value network.
